Privacy Policy
We do not collect your identity. The game is free and supported by ads.
Effective date: June 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Solitaire ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by The App, Inc., handles information when you use the App. The App does not require an account, name, email, or any sign up. The App is free and supported by advertising provided through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, our advertising provider processes a limited amount of data, as described below. We do not collect your name, email, or any information that directly identifies you.
Information We Collect
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location, and the App has no sign up. To run the game and show ads, the following limited data may be collected and processed:
- Device & technical data: device model, operating system version, language, country/region, app version, time zone, coarse network type.
- Usage data: app launches, basic gameplay events (for example, "game started" or "game won"), session duration, crash and performance diagnostics.
- Advertising data: ads shown, ad interactions (impressions, taps), and approximate (coarse, non-precise) location derived from your IP address, used by our advertising provider to deliver and measure ads.
- Advertising identifier: the Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), only if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you decline, no IDFA is collected and you will see non-personalized ads.
- IP address: used by our advertising provider for ad delivery, fraud prevention, and approximate region, then handled per their policies.
If you grant ATT permission, the advertising identifier may be used to deliver personalized ads and to measure advertising across apps and websites, this is classified under Apple's "Data Used to Track You". If you decline, the data above is used only to serve non-personalized ads and to run the App, and is not used to track you.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays ads using Google AdMob (Google LLC). AdMob is a standard mobile advertising service. To show ads, AdMob may collect and process your device's advertising identifier (IDFA, only with your ATT permission), IP address, device and technical information, and ad-interaction data, and may use this information to deliver, cap, and measure ads, including personalized ads where you have consented.
- Personalized vs. non-personalized ads. If you do not grant tracking permission (or, in the EEA/UK, do not consent), you will be shown non-personalized ads, which are based on coarse context rather than your advertising identifier.
- How Google uses data. Learn how Google uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Google's privacy policy. policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not sell your data to data brokers. We do not share data with any third parties beyond the advertising and service providers described in this policy.
Consent for Users in the EEA, UK & Switzerland
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the App presents a consent message, using Google's certified Consent Management Platform (the User Messaging Platform), before personalized ads are served, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Google's EU User Consent Policy. You can choose whether to consent to personalized ads. If you do not consent, you will continue to see non-personalized ads. You can review or change your choice at any time through the privacy options provided within the App.
How the App Works
Solitaire is a classic card game that runs locally on your device. The core gameplay works offline and does not require an internet connection. An internet connection is used in the background to load ads and to deliver anonymous analytics and diagnostics; this does not affect gameplay. We do not use your microphone, camera, or photos.
Permissions
Solitaire does not request access to your microphone, camera, photos, contacts, precise location, or any other personal data on your device.
The first time you launch the App, Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) system will show a system prompt asking whether you allow tracking across apps and websites owned by other companies. You can decline this prompt at any time, and you can change your choice later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you decline, we do not collect your IDFA and you will see non-personalized ads.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services. Each receives only the data necessary for its purpose and is required to handle it according to its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob (Google LLC): serves and measures the ads that keep the App free. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy; how Google uses app data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Apple: if you download the App from the Apple App Store, Apple may collect information about your download and use of the App. Apple's privacy practices are described at apple.com/legal/privacy.
Your Choices & Rights
You can control what is collected:
- Decline tracking. Decline Apple's ATT prompt, or change your choice anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Manage ad consent. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, change your ad-consent choice via the privacy options in the App.
- Limit ad tracking system-wide. iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising lets you disable personalized ads at the system level.
- Reset your advertising identifier. iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking → Reset Advertising Identifier.
- Delete the App. Removing the App from your device stops all future data collection.
If you are located in a region with applicable privacy law (such as the EU/EEA, UK, California, or Brazil), you may also have rights under GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or LGPD, including the right to request access, deletion, or correction of any data we hold about you. Because our data is not linked to your identity, requests must include enough information for us or our providers to locate the relevant records. Contact support@theapp.biz to make a request.
Children's Privacy
Solitaire is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because we do not collect names, emails, accounts, or any directly identifying information, the App contains no personally identifiable data tied to any user, including children. Where required, ad requests are configured to limit data collection for users who may be children. If you believe a child has provided information to us in any form, please contact support@theapp.biz and we will work with our providers to investigate and remove it.
Data Retention & Security
Advertising, analytics, and diagnostics data is retained by our service providers (Google) for the periods described in their own privacy policies. We retain only aggregated reports derived from this data. Data in transit is protected using industry-standard TLS encryption.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page.
