Terms of Use - TV Remote

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the TV Remote mobile application ("the App") provided by The App, Inc. ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

What TV Remote Is

TV Remote is a universal Smart TV remote for iPhone. The App connects to a compatible TV or streaming device on the same Wi-Fi network and lets you control volume, channels, power, and playback, navigate with a trackpad, type with your keyboard, and open the apps installed on your TV. It is designed to replace or supplement a physical remote control.

Compatibility & Requirements

TV Remote works with most popular Smart TVs and streaming devices, including Samsung, LG, Sony, Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, Google TV, TCL, Hisense, Philips, and Vizio. To work, your TV and your iPhone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and your TV must support network control. Compatibility depends on your specific TV model, its firmware, and your network, and we cannot guarantee that every device or every feature will be supported.

TV Remote is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any TV or device manufacturer. All product names, logos, trademarks, and brands are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and compatibility purposes only.

License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on a device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except to the extent these restrictions are not allowed by applicable law.

Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

TV Remote is free to download. Certain features are offered as part of an optional auto-renewing in-app subscription ("Premium"). If you choose to subscribe, the following terms apply:

Payment. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price displayed at the time of purchase.
Managing your subscription. You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase. Cancellation of the current active subscription period is not allowed during the active period.
Pricing & plans. Subscription length, price, and features are displayed in the App at the point of purchase. Prices may vary by region.
Free trial. If a free trial is offered and you do not cancel before it ends, you will be automatically charged for the subscription. Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Privacy. Subscription handling is performed entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use TV Remote only with TVs and devices that you own or are authorized to control, and only on networks you are permitted to use. You may not use the App to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to any device, network, or service.

No Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with your specific TV, or that it will produce any specific result.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The App, Inc. and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, damage to your device or TV, or any other damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App.

Our total liability for any claim related to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or five U.S. dollars.

Apple App Store Terms

If you download the App from the Apple App Store, you also agree to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's EULA, these Terms control, except where Apple's EULA is more restrictive.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
